Jenny Johnston

Jenny enjoys offering effective treatments for pain relief and injury recovery and helping women achieve a safe, healthy and satisfying transition into motherhood.  She earned her Master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine at Five Branches University in 2011 and went on to earn advanced training, apprenticeship, and fellowship in the fields of orthopedic/sports acupuncture, fertility, and obstetrical acupuncture.

Clinical specialties of Jenny's include- pain during pregnancy, pelvic pain, pain related to menses, pain related to endometriosis, neck, lower back and hip pain, shoulder pain, and knee pain.

Additional Training

• Completed the Acupuncture Sports Apprenticeship Program with orthopedic acupuncture expert Whitfield Reeves, OMD, L.Ac.
• Member of the Santa Cruz Birth Network and Birthpoint Acupuncture Group
• Studied extensively with fertility and women’s health experts Raven Lang, M.S., L.Ac, and Claudia Citkovitz, Ph.D., L.Ac. at Lutheran Medical Center in New York, and the Maternity Acupuncture Mentoring and Peer Support program with experts from around the world
• Worked as a practitioner at Revive Acupuncture for Fertility in Freemont and as a Fellow of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine

On a personal note, Jenny comes from a biomedical family lineage and enjoys integrating Western Technology with Eastern wisdom.  She strives to continually learn about her nature and align her life with that nature.  She is blessed to be a loving mama to two wonderful daughters and enjoys beekeeping, regenerative gardening, backpacking, hiking, dancing, singing, yoga, fitness, and living gratefully attuned to the rhythms of the Earth and her wisdom.

Jenny and her daughter play traditional Scottish music together.  She can't stop singing, and you may hear her humming to herself while preparing treatment rooms for her patients.
