Taylar Willigrod
DAcHM. Dipl.OM, LAc.
Taylar Willigrod was inspired to pursue Traditional Chinese Medicine after working in an integrative clinic alongside an acupuncturist. Witnessing the profound energetic and physical transformations in patients sparked a deep interest in medicine. Her personal health journey also played a pivotal role, and she experienced firsthand the healing potential of this approach. One acupuncturist left a lasting impression when they told her, “Even if it’s all in your head, like the doctors say, we can still treat that here today.” That compassionate and holistic perspective ultimately solidified her path toward becoming a practitioner.
Some Highlights in Taylar’s career include:
- Bachelor of Science in Biology with a concentration in Physiology and a Minor in Holistic Health from San Francisco State University
- Certificate in Massage Therapy from Healing Hands Massage and Holistic Health School
- Masters of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine, from Five Branches University
- Doctorate in Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine from Five Branches University
- Certificate in Orthopedic and Sports Medicine through Five Branches University
Taylar is passionate about connecting with her patients on an authentic level and understanding what motivates them to maintain their health. She offers both physical and emotional support, guiding individuals through the complexities of acute and chronic conditions. Helping people move through pain is particularly meaningful to her—she believes pain is a deeply layered experience that often requires a holistic approach to truly heal.
Outside of the clinic and her continued medical studies, Taylar enjoys playing soccer with the women’s Eclipse team, surfing, trail running, walking with her dog, reading for her book club, and sewing or knitting her own clothes.
She is one of nine siblings and sits right in the middle (though not all grew up together in the same household). She has six nieces—and no nephews yet. A longtime enthusiast of the Enneagram, Taylar has participated in workshops and retreats, and proudly identifies as a Type Nine. She especially enjoys it when others share their numbers. During college, she took a course in Biofeedback and Autogenic Training, where she learned to warm one of her hands by two degrees using only her mind.
